As a huge fan of *The Boys*, the core of the whole story, for me, is taking down Homelander. It starts with Billy Butcher wanting revenge for what happened to his wife – he thinks Homelander is behind it. But it quickly becomes so much bigger than that. It’s not just about Vought anymore; Homelander wants to control the *entire* country, and he’s even manipulating the President to help him eliminate anyone he considers a threat. It’s crazy! It’s even forcing Butcher to team up with Supes, which is something he’d *never* do, because he hates them all. It’s a really intense situation!
As a huge fan of *The Boys*, I’m really intrigued by Starlight’s situation. She’s clearly struggling, and even *she* knows she can’t take down Homelander alone. So, she reaches out to Marie Moreau for help, but honestly, she doesn’t have high hopes. Little does she know, Marie is seriously powerful – and potentially dangerous! It’s not just Marie at Godolkin University, though; there are a bunch of super-powered students. I’ve been wondering how all six of the main ones compare to Homelander, and if *any* of them actually stand a chance against him.
6) Emma Meyer
Emma Meyer’s powers, which cause her to randomly shrink and grow, make her the least effective member of the *Gen V* team. Despite being as durable as her peers, she doesn’t offer many other advantages. Her only real chance against a powerful enemy like Homelander would be to use a tactic similar to what fans wished Ant-Man had used against Thanos in *Avengers: Infinity War*.
5) Polarity
The ability to control metal makes a character incredibly powerful, as seen with Marvel’s Magento. But Polarity has a dangerous limit – pushing himself too hard will kill him. Driven by the loss of his son to Vought, Polarity may target Homelander after dealing with Cipher. However, Homelander can simply wait, knowing Polarity is likely to self-destruct. Polarity’s only hope is a single, all-out attack, one that would definitely be fatal.
4) Cate Dunlap
Cate is only avoiding the lowest ranking because Homelander currently favors her. If she genuinely tries to change, she could use her connection with him – and her ability to control minds – to get close enough to either convince him to surrender or subtly manipulate him into being captured. However, if Homelander suspects she’s deceiving him, Cate won’t have much time to respond before he inevitably kills her.
3) Jordan Li
Godolkin’s newest arrival, Jordan Li, is incredibly adaptable and possesses a unique combination of two different superpowers, making them a potentially challenging opponent for Homelander. However, Jordan isn’t as strong as some of the other individuals at Godolkin. Their best chance of winning would be to surprise Homelander and quickly overwhelm him before he can react, but that’s a difficult task considering how alert Homelander always is.
2) Sam Riordan
At Godolkin University, Sam Riordan is just as physically strong as Jordan Li. Although Golden Boy’s brother struggles with mental health issues and occasional emotional outbursts, there’s always someone nearby to help calm him down and prevent him from becoming a danger to others. However, if Sam were to fight Homelander, the other Supes would likely let him go all out, hoping he can push Homelander to his breaking point.
1) Marie Moreau
If Sam fails to stop Homelander, Marie Moreau is the most promising alternative. The new dean at Godolkin believes Marie has the potential to be even more powerful than Homelander himself. Her ability to control blood gives her unusual attack options, and she’s still developing her full potential. Once she learns to manipulate others’ blood, Homelander would likely avoid a direct confrontation with her. Starlight should consider sending Marie after Homelander, particularly if she can’t rescue their friends from prison before he carries out his next move.
