Actress from the show “Summer House” reminisces about her breakup with Carl Radke, marking a year since he cancelled their wedding plans.
In a post on August 30th on Instagram, Lindsay expressed that looking back at this same day last year brought back memories of one of the hardest, most embarrassing, and painful experiences she’s faced as an adult.
But now looking back, the 38-year-old is incredibly proud of how far she’s come.
She shared with Us Weekly in a recent interview (August 30) that she’s incredibly proud of all she achieved last year, and it left her feeling quite emotional when reflecting on where she stands now.
Among her recent achievements, Lindsay is excited about a new romantic connection and the upcoming arrival of a baby girl. Lindsay is deeply grateful for her current companion, whom she prefers not to disclose, as he has given her the freedom to express vulnerability, something she felt was missing during her relationship with Carl.
In her previous relationship, I felt compelled to take charge and handle all aspects of our life together, including the relationship itself, our future plans, finances, and even the wedding preparations. As a result, I found myself being more assertive and less able to express my softer side. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to show that side of me.
Reflecting on her upcoming role as a mom, the Bravo celebrity acknowledges that she’s embarking on a unique and personal voyage, distinct from the conventional route of engagement, marriage, and parenthood.
She expressed her long-held dream to explore motherhood, emphasizing that its timing doesn’t necessarily need to follow a traditional sequence. She went on to share that she never could have foreseen that this year would culminate with her being pregnant during her third trimester and delivering a baby by the end of the year.
She remarked, “It transpired unexpectedly, but I strive to remain receptive and optimistic. It seems to me that this is exactly what the universe intended for me, and I believe that’s the lesson here.”
Lindsay has talked before about how she’s choosing to believe that everything happens for a reason, telling TopMob News in June, “I’ve learned that the universe has its own plan for me, so I’m just letting the universe guide where it wants me to go.”
Apart from sharing her intentions about maintaining her boyfriend as a private matter, she also mentioned that she has taken lessons from her past errors where she was overly open about each stage of her romantic relationships.
So for now, she is going to enjoy her “incredible man” on her own terms.
“We have a very sweet, caring and loving relationship,” she told TopMob, “that I truly cherish.”

In August 2023, it was announced that Carl Radke had ended his engagement with Lindsay Hubbard, approximately two and a half months prior to their planned wedding date.
The split occurred nearly a year following their engagement during the summer season at the Hamptons’ Summer House.
Lindsay spoke out for the first time two weeks after her ex called off their wedding.
To begin, I appreciate your understanding as I work through the pain and grief following the loss not just of my relationship, but also my long-standing friendship with someone I regarded as my best friend for eight years. The past two weeks have been the most challenging and emotional of my life. My entire world has been turned upside down, leaving me struggling to comprehend it all – with no explanations or resolution regarding the reasons behind this unexpected change.
The Reality TV Star confessed that she was left feeling both devastated and ashamed. She went on to say, “Leaving a relationship at this stage wasn’t something I chose, and I don’t concur with walking away without exhausting every available option first.”
Two months after healing, Danielle Olivera, Lindsay’s costar, posted an update about how her long-term friend was faring following their separation.
Danielle shared with TopMob News, “She’s significantly improved, things are looking promising for her.” She had been going through a tough time, barely leaving her apartment. However, she seems to have embarked on some journeys now. I’m eagerly awaiting the day when she’s free and we can go out together, rejuvenating the city. She’s gradually regaining her confidence and stepping back into the spotlight.”
At approximately the same time, Kyle Cooke shared his insights on what he perceived as the source of their issues.
He mentioned to TopMob that it’s well-known they’ve been attending couple’s therapy consistently since their relationship began. It seems as though they can hardly talk to each other without an intermediary, and Carl said something along the lines of, “I don’t want to spend the next 50 years of my life like this.”
Just a few short weeks before what turned out to be a non-wedding, Lindsay disclosed surprising insights into their split conversation and alleged that Carl manipulated their on-screen breakup to create drama for Season 8 of the Bravo show.
In a different scenario, if this discussion had taken place during our usual filming season over the summer, it wouldn’t have felt as unsettling. However, his unexpected phone call to the producers, followed by arranging cameras, and coercing me into another meeting after we’d already finished shooting was truly alarming. It’s chilling to think that just 30 minutes later, the world was privy to this private moment of mine.
Lindsay stated that she was taken aback by her ex-fiance’s choice, adding, “The final two weeks of summer saw a significant shift in his behavior and tone. There were numerous instances of hostility and aggression from him, leaving me thoroughly puzzled.”
Carl finally told his side of the story for the first time at BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas.
He shared with TopMob News that it’s been incredibly tough for him. However, he sees BravoCon as an opportunity for him to step up, maintain his dignity, and strive to progress with grace, since he desires to continue living and moving forward.
Carl also addressed Lindsay’s accusation about planning to break up with her on camera.
As a die-hard devotee, let me clarify that I don’t hold the reins when it comes to deciding when the cameras roll. The summer we experienced was a rollercoaster of emotions, with its highs and lows. The recent turn of events, especially the past few weeks, were so dramatic that it became crystal clear to the production team how things were wrapping up. It felt like a whirlwind, leaving us all wondering, ‘How could you be planning a wedding in just a couple of months?’
At BravoCon, Lindsay made it clear that she has no intention of reconciling with her co-star. She bluntly told TopMob News, “Absolutely not!” or simply put, “No way!”
Lindsay also shared she was “doing well” after having several months to recover from the shock.
She pointed out that the initial month was incredibly challenging, but afterward, she embarked on her bachelorette getaway with all my friends who were incredibly supportive. We celebrated our friendship and sisterhood. Since then, I’ve been taking things one step at a time, gradually picking up speed, confidence, and resilience. Now, I’m in a really positive state.
It appears that Lindsay playfully teased her former partner when she was seen having dinner with “The Challenge’s” Johnny Bananas in New York City during the weekend that was supposed to be their wedding with Carl.
Despite sparking romance rumors, the two reality stars maintained they are just friends.
Six months post-split, Carl revealed the real reason why he still wasn’t dating again.
He shared with TopMob News that he desires to establish a family and find a permanent home, but choosing a life partner is a significant decision. As such, he plans to spend some time healing and focusing on himself.
Plus, his and Lindsay’s relationship issues and dramatic breakup still hadn’t played out on TV.
He mentioned that he believes the person will arrive, however, he’s taking things at a leisurely pace without checking or worrying because there’s lingering emotional ties. To him, watching old moments on TV and starting a fresh relationship while these feelings are still unresolved doesn’t seem fitting; he feels it would be premature to invest his heart in something new when he’s still not emotionally ready.
Viewers witnessed the disintegration of the previous pair’s romance throughout season eight of Summer House. Remarkably, Lindsay alleged that Carl, who has been abstinent for three years, was under the influence of cocaine during one of their numerous heated arguments.
During the February 29th episode, Carl expressed his feelings in a confessional, saying, “My heart is pounding as I speak and I’m trembling because what I’m about to say hurts terribly. It’s appalling and yet this person I’m meant to marry is the one implying or suggesting that I’m using drugs? That notion cuts me to the core.”
Lindsay later issued a sort of-apology on social media saying, “I wish I had used better wording.”
The highly anticipated moment arrived: Carl found it necessary to discuss their relationship troubles with Lindsay on the final episode of “Summer House” for May 30th. And it turned out to be far more intense and confrontational than anybody had imagined.
In simpler terms, Carl found it difficult to progress beyond Lindsay’s persistent doubts about his work projects and felt that she was manipulating him by gaslighting and portraying herself as a constant victim in their relationship.
In simpler terms, Carl said to her, “You treated me harshly when you insulted me by calling me a failure.” He also added that you referred to him as a small, weak person, using derogatory terms like a ‘little b—h’, ‘little baby’, ‘mama’s boy’, and suggesting he should ‘go back home to his parents’.”
In my perspective, it seems like there may be a lack of faith in my ability to maintain sobriety. It feels as though you harbor concerns about potential relapses on my part, and perhaps even hope for them, as it might offer an opportunity for exerting greater influence over me.
Lindsay’s response?
She firmly stated, “Are you asking me to battle for our relationship at this moment? I won’t plead to keep you by my side.” Indicating a sense of finality, she added, “It seems there’s nothing left to discuss, your choice has been made evident.”
It’s clear that Lindsay has moved forward, as she announced her pregnancy with her new, enigmatic partner, indicating they are about to become parents for the first time together.
Lindsay announced on Instagram on July 4 that she’s expecting! She shared pictures of her growing belly and an ultrasound, writing, “I truly feel the universe has a grander design for us, and this is it!”
Despite Lindsay choosing not to disclose who is her daughter’s father, she expressed to TopMob that they share a delightful, considerate, and affectionate bond which she deeply values.
Following the announcement of her pregnancy, Lindsay opened up about her true feelings when Carl learned about it.
She informed People, “I have no doubt he’ll learn about it when everyone else does, but I won’t initiate a conversation with him. That chapter of my life is behind me, and I can’t dwell on the past anymore because I’m too engrossed in the present and planning for the future.”
As a lifestyle guide, I find myself in a position where his emotional wellbeing is no longer within the realm of my concern. It simply doesn’t fall under my purview any longer.
