As a gamer, I’m excited to share that Prime Gaming has just dropped some fresh freebies for us! These games are available starting today as part of the lead-up to Prime Day. You can grab them from GOG and the Epic Games Store. Remember, while most of these games can be claimed throughout July, one of them has a tight deadline, so make sure you don’t miss out by claiming it within the next few days! Here are the games you can grab right now:
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (GOG)
- Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Epic Games Store)
- Marvel’s Midnight Suns (Epic Games Store)
- Football Manager 2024 (Epic Games Store)
These four games were launched on July 8th at midnight Pacific Time. The game “Football Manager 2024” will only be accessible until Friday, July 11th at 11:59 p.m. PT and is not included in the Prime Gaming subscription for Brazilian residents. Amazon hasn’t given a specific reason for these limitations, but they mention that Prime Gaming offers can sometimes differ by region. Interestingly, “Football Manager 2024”, which seems to suggest it’s from last year, is actually the latest installment in the series, as Sega announced the cancellation of “Football Manager 25” back in February.
Among the games available today, it’s possible that “Marvel’s Midnight Suns” is the standout choice. Launched towards the end of 2022, this game developed by Firaxis was met with widespread critical acclaim and boasts some of Marvel’s most famous characters such as Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, along with lesser-known ones like Nico Minoru. The turn-based combat system may have deterred some potential players, leading to lower sales than expected. Nevertheless, the game’s release via Prime Gaming could attract newcomers to check out what “Marvel’s Midnight Suns” has in store.
Back in 1997, I got my hands on a timeless gem known as “Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.” Despite its age, this game is still highly respected and frequently hailed as one of the top Star Wars-themed games out there. Following the storyline after “Return of the Jedi,” you step into the shoes of Kyle Katarn as the protagonist. The game offers a choice between first or third-person perspective, making it even more immersive for fans like me.
As a fellow gamer, let me not forget to mention something terrifyingly awesome for those who are Prime Gaming subscribers with a taste for horror: Amnesia: The Dark Descent. This is the first installment in the Amnesia series, and it’s all about puzzle-solving and staying alive – making it unique among other scary games. Much like the other freebies we’re offering today, this game was also a hit with critics, paving the way for sequels and remasters over the past 15 years. If you’re intrigued by these spine-chilling titles, don’t miss out on claiming them right here!
