Prince Harry is coming to the defense of his wife during an emotional battle.
On the last day of his court appearance in London, Prince Harry spoke movingly about the impact years of negative press coverage from The Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday had on his wife, Meghan Markle. He was testifying in his legal case against Associated Newspapers Limited, the publications’ publisher.
Harry, 41, told the court on January 21st that speaking out against his opponents had led to ongoing harassment, as reported by People magazine. He also stated that his wife had been deeply affected, and her life had become very difficult.
During his two-hour testimony, Harry claimed that filing his lawsuit – along with Elton John, David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost, and others – has actually led to even more negative media attention for him and Meghan.
The situation has actually gotten worse during this legal battle, not better,” Prince Harry, 41, shared with People while visibly upset. “It’s simply unfair to make us all go through this again. We need an apology and for someone to take responsibility. It’s been a really awful experience.”
TopMob has reached out to Associated Newspapers Limited but has not heard back.
In 2022, Harry, Elton John, David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost, and others filed lawsuits, as reported by Variety. At the time, the law firm representing Harry and Sadie issued a statement to TopMob News accusing the publisher of serious criminal behavior and violating their privacy.
The company admitted to a security breach involving the use of private investigators who secretly placed listening devices in people’s cars and homes, and recorded their phone calls. Associated Newspapers, responding to a lawsuit, denied these accusations, calling them baseless and damaging to their reputation.

Harry recently testified a year after winning a legal case against News Group Newspapers (NGN), the publisher of both The Sun and the now-closed News of the World. The publisher settled the case and apologized for the alleged illegal activities of its journalists and private investigators, who reportedly obtained information about his family.
At the time, Harry’s lawyer David Sherbourne called the case a “monumental victory.”
He stated outside the courtroom, in a statement to NBC News, that this outcome is a win for the many others who felt pressured into settlements without ever learning what had actually happened to them.

On her 44th birthday, the Princess of Wales shared a message on the power of nature to heal.
In a recent video, Kate reflected on winter’s ability to bring a sense of calm and self-reflection. She described how the season’s quietness allows us to slow down, look inward, and connect with both our own thoughts and the natural world around us – noticing the subtle signs of life even in the stillness.
You know, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about gratitude, and it’s amazing how powerful it can be. I truly believe we all have this inner resilience – a natural flow that helps us release fears and find peace, even through difficult emotions. It’s about allowing ourselves to feel everything, to connect with our inner selves, and to find that sense of oneness with the world around us. Nature, especially, is such a gentle guide, quietly reminding us of our strength and helping us heal. It’s a beautiful process, really – rediscovering what it means to be truly alive.
