Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are clearing up details of their latest business move.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are changing the structure of their Archewell Foundation, now called Archewell Philanthropies. According to a report in the Daily Mail, three staff members were recently laid off and told the reason was that the charity was shutting down.
A representative for the couple confirmed their team is getting smaller, but didn’t say how many people have been impacted.
According to a statement released on December 22nd, the organization will be changing how it’s funded, and unfortunately, this will result in some job losses, especially for those in entry-level administrative positions, a spokesperson told People magazine.
We won’t be sharing any more information about these personnel matters. However, we want to express our gratitude for the dedication and talent of the individuals involved, and we’re proud to have worked with people so committed to helping others.
Just three days ago, Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, announced a new direction for their nonprofit organization, Archewell Philanthropies. On their website, they explained that this change will help them expand their charitable work and make an even bigger difference around the world.
The website redesign also subtly acknowledged Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, suggesting they may participate in their parents’ projects as they get older.

The message explained that this charity lets the couple and their children continue their worldwide charitable work together as a family.
Harry and Meghan are raising Archie and Lili to be kind and helpful. Last month, the family worked together to prepare meals for people in their Los Angeles community before Thanksgiving, giving the children a chance to give back.
The event clearly made a significant difference. A recent announcement explained that the collaboration between Archewell and Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA) would deliver pre-packaged meals to local schools, shelters, senior centers, and other organizations helping people in the community who need them.
