Prince Harry’s Shocking Exit: The Truth Behind His Charity Resignation!

Prince Harry is royally devastated.

Approximately two decades have passed since The Duke of Sussex and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho established Sentebale, a charity named after their late mothers, Princess Diana and Queen ‘Mamohato respectively. Recently, they announced their decision to step down from their roles as patrons due to leadership issues within the organization, which is currently under investigation by the U.K.’s Charity Commission.

The events that have unfolded are beyond comprehension,” the duo expressed in a shared statement given to the Press Association on March 26. “We are stunned by the need to take action, but we feel compelled to uphold our ongoing duty to Sentebale’s beneficiaries. As such, we will be voicing all of our worries to the Charity Commission about how this situation arose.

Approximately twenty years ago, we established Sentebale as a tribute to our mothers. In the native language of Lesotho, Sesotho, ‘Sentebale’ means ‘forget-me-not’. Over the years, this organization has been dedicated to serving young people, and that commitment remains true today.

TopMob News has reached out to Prince Harry for comment and has not heard back.

According to NBC News, there was reportedly a strain in the relationship between Sentebale’s board of trustees and its chairwoman, Dr. Sophie Chandauka, as mentioned on the charity’s website. The board allegedly asked her to resign from her position.

Harry and Seeiso endorsed the board’s decision, which involved Mark Dyer, a friend of the author of “The Spare,” to similarly resign from Sentebale during the ongoing investigation.

I’ve chosen to step back from my duties as a patron of this organization, temporarily, in unity with the board of trustees who find themselves in a similar position. The unfortunate state of our charity’s leadership – the breakdown between the trustees and the chair of the board that cannot be mended – has created an unbearable situation.

Joining the fray, the distraught duo disclosed that Dr. Chandauka is taking legal action against the board of trustees due to their allegations concerning my leadership at Sentebale. This organization, established in 2006, has been dedicated to providing aid for young Africans impacted by the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Harry and Seeiso emphasized that these trustees acted for the benefit of the charity by suggesting the chair resign, always prioritizing the welfare of staff. However, her response was to sue the charity in order to keep her voluntary role, highlighting the strained nature of their relationship.

They continued to back the fundamental goal of Sentebale, a charity they had founded over 18 years prior, right up until its completion.

They pointed out that even though we are no longer supporters, we remain its originators. We will never lose sight of the incredible things this charity can accomplish with proper guidance.

Speaking for herself, Dr. Chandauka, who has served as the chair of the board since the previous year, made it clear in a statement that Sentebale is not a self-indulgent endeavor she can easily step away from when faced with scrutiny.

She stated, “Every action I take at Sentebale is driven by upholding the organization’s integrity, its purpose, and the well-being of the youth we assist. There are individuals in this world who act as though they are exempt from the law and mistreat others, only to later portray themselves as victims and exploit the media they despise to attack those brave enough to question their actions.” (NBC News obtained the statement)

She disclosed that she had already brought up concerns about certain board members with the Charity Commission, the body responsible for monitoring charities registered in England and Wales, due to their behavior.

According to Dr. Chandauka’s explanation, beneath all the sensationalized stories about the victim in the media lies the tale of a brave woman who spoke up about corruption, inadequate leadership, misuse of power, harassment, sexism, racism against black women – and the subsequent cover-up. Essentially, she could be any person, but she is an educated woman who knows that the law will support and shield her.

Previous board members voiced their displeasure regarding how the entire scenario developed.

The decision announced today is incredibly disheartening for everyone involved. However, we cannot see any alternative course of action following the erosion of trust and confidence in the board’s leadership, as stated in the communication shared with NBC News. Regrettably, the deterioration of our relationship reached a critical point where the chair filed a lawsuit against the charity to prevent us from voting her out after our petition for her resignation was turned down.

The trustees explained that they couldn’t ethically let Sentebale shoulder such legal and financial responsibilities. Facing no other alternative, they found it necessary to relinquish their positions. This wasn’t a preferred choice but rather an action compelled by the need to protect the charity.

Meanwhile, the Charity Commission confirmed that it was looking into the matter.

The organization has acknowledged the worries regarding the management of Sentebale, as stated to NBC News. They are currently examining the matters to decide on the best course of action from a regulatory standpoint.
