Prince William is happy to report on his wife’s health.
Following the cancer diagnoses of both Kate Middleton and her father, King Charles III, last year, he recently shared an update on how they are doing.
“I’m doing well,” William, 43, shared with Eugene Levy on the October 2nd episode of Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler. “Things are moving forward as planned, and that’s great.”
The Schitt’s Creek actor inquired about Kate’s health, specifically if she was in remission. William responded, “Yes, she is yes…It’s wonderful news.”
Prince William provided an update regarding Kate’s health nearly nine months after Princess of Wales announced she was in remission. This news followed a year of chemotherapy treatment for a cancer that hasn’t been publicly specified.
Regarding their children, George, age 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, William explained how he and Kate supported them while Kate was going through cancer treatment.
“People deal with difficult situations in their own ways, and the kids are always learning and adjusting,” he explained to Eugene. “We do our best to provide them with the security and safety they need, and we’re a family that communicates openly, so we discuss what worries or upsets us. However, it’s impossible to predict all the consequences.”
He went on to say, “It’s really just about supporting one another and letting the kids know that things are alright.”
William shared that his family has been fortunate not to have experienced serious illnesses firsthand. However, the diagnoses of Kate and Charles helped them all learn to maintain a more positive perspective even during difficult times. This realization has been impactful for everyone.
I believe when you suddenly realize things can change unexpectedly – that the metaphorical rug can be pulled out from under you at any time – it’s a shock,” William explained. “You might tell yourself, ‘It won’t happen to us, we’ll be alright,’ because I think most people are naturally optimistic. You really have to maintain that positive attitude. But when something bad *does* happen, it can really take you down a difficult path.”
To sum up his year, William shared he’s grateful for where his family is now.
“I think 2024 was the most challenging year of my life,” William said. “Life often presents us with trials, and it’s how we deal with those difficulties that shapes who we become.”

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, was removed as a patron of Julia’s House after a 2011 email to Jeffrey Epstein came to light. In the email, she referred to him as a friend.
After details emerged this weekend regarding the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House decided it was no longer appropriate for her to continue her role as a patron of the charity,” the organization stated, according to The Guardian. “We have informed the Duchess of York of our decision and are grateful for her previous contributions.”
A representative for Ferguson stated that the digital communication was created following a threat made against her by Epstein.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I almost fainted! After 19 months, I finally saw him! Prince Harry arrived at Clarence House – can you believe it? – which is where the King lives in London. It looked like he was going to see his dad before heading off to something else in the city. I’ve been waiting so long for this! It’s just… everything!
Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. local time on September 10th, but Charles had come back just a few hours earlier.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I’m *so* excited! I just found out that Princess Anne’s son, and Mark Phillips‘s son too, is getting married! Apparently, he proposed to his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, on August 1st! They’ve been dating for over a year now, and I’m just thrilled for them! Just a day before turning 78, the royal was given the title of Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom by the Royal Navy.
Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It can only be granted by the monarch-in this instance, her husband, King Charles III-based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, who is currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.
Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, The Princess of Wales cancelled her appearance at Royal Ascot, NBC News confirmed with Kensington Palace. This was to be her return to the yearly horse racing event.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing from sources close to the palace that Kate was understandably disappointed to miss the event. It sounds like she’s still navigating what feels right in terms of returning to public duties after everything she’s been through with her cancer battle. She’s really focused on finding that right balance for herself, and taking things at a pace that feels comfortable as she reintegrates into public life. It’s a really personal journey, and she’s prioritizing her well-being.
More than a year after being refused extra security by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, Prince Harry’s lawsuit concluded on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim.

He stated, “I don’t foresee a situation where I’d return to live in the U.K. with my family right now.” He added, “It’s very disheartening that I won’t have the opportunity to show my children where I grew up.”
Harry explained that his father has significant influence and power, and ultimately, he could be the key to resolving this situation. “Not by directly getting involved,” Harry clarified, “but by letting the professionals handle things and continue their work without interference.”
Even after many years of fighting, he is now signaling his desire for peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is valuable, and I’m not sure how much time my father has left.”
More than a year after King Charles revealed he had cancer, he wrote on April 29 that going through his health challenges and cancer treatment has highlighted “the very best of humanity.”
In a booklet created to offer support to people facing cancer, Charles wrote that receiving a diagnosis, or learning about a new case, can be a very difficult and scary time for patients and their families. However, speaking from personal experience, he added that it can also highlight the incredible kindness and strength people are capable of.
He expressed his gratitude to the healthcare professionals who assisted him, stating, “This experience has truly deepened my respect for the incredible efforts of the outstanding organizations and people present tonight – many of whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, visiting, and supporting throughout the years.”
On April 20, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were absent from the royal family’s traditional Easter service held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but William and Kate chose to spend the weekend with their children at their country home in Norfolk, according to several news sources.
This was the second Easter they missed. The 2024 holiday occurred just a week after the Princess of Wales shared news of her cancer diagnosis.
Jason Knauf was appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Prince William’s environmental initiative, The Earthshot Prize, on April 15th. In a statement published on the organization’s website, he expressed his excitement about “working with our exceptional team and incredible Earthshot community to further our goal of hopeful and immediate action for the planet.”
I was really interested to learn about his promotion, especially considering it happened almost seven years after he raised concerns about Meghan Markle. He alleged she was bullying two personal assistants and trying to undermine another staff member. Of course, a spokesperson for the Sussexes completely denied these claims, telling The Times that it was all just a “calculated smear campaign” fueled by misleading and harmful misinformation. It’s a complicated situation, but I’ve been following it closely.
Following the allegations, Buckingham Palace conducted an investigation. The case was concluded in 2022, but no results were released to the public.
William and Kate’s eldest son George attended a soccer match in Paris alongside his dad April 7.

Robert stated, “Frederik is like a superhero to me, just as he is to our entire family and countless friends. And now, thanks to his PolG Foundation, he’s impacting the lives of people all over the world.” He continued, “A key part of what made Frederik special was his talent for inspiring others and leading through his own actions.”
On January 22nd, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached an agreement with News Group Newspapers-the publisher of The Sun and the now-closed News of the World-after filing a lawsuit in 2019. The suit claimed that journalists and investigators working for the newspapers illegally obtained information about the royal family.
As a long-time follower of this story, I was relieved to hear the details of the settlement. It wasn’t just about money; the company agreed to pay substantial damages and, crucially, issued a full and unequivocal apology to Prince Harry. They also publicly acknowledged the extensive and seriously intrusive coverage-not just of Harry, but also of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. NBC News reported all of this, and it feels like a significant step towards accountability.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is grieving the loss of her cherished rescue beagle, a dog she welcomed into her family in 2015, prior to her relationship with Prince Harry.
