Project Motor Racing Gets New Trailer at Gamescom Showcasing New Cars, Weather Effects

Straight4 Studios developer and GIANTS Software publisher have unveiled a fresh trailer for their upcoming racing simulator titled Project Motor Racing. This trailer, debuted at Gamescom, concentrates on some of the automobiles that will feature in the game, with a group of Porsche cars taking the front row. You can watch the trailer here below.

The video game titled Project Motor Racing showcases an array of vehicles from Porsche’s collection such as the 2023 Porsche 963, iconic models like the 1970 917K and vintage cars such as the 1992 911 GT3 R, 911 GT1-98, and 962C. In addition to this, you’ll find Aston Martin vehicles in the game too, including the 2025 Valkyrie Hypercar, AMR Vantage GT3, and even Ford’s upcoming 2024 Mustang GT4.

In addition to the existing racing simulator, we’re excited to announce that two new periods in motorsport will be incorporated – GT1 and Group C. The GT1 era will offer adrenaline-pumping races with luxury supercars from the ’90s, while the Group C era will concentrate on prototyping for endurance races. This enhancement increases the total number of racing classes in Project Motor Racing to 9, encompassing over five decades of the sport’s history. We’re also looking forward to introducing even more racing classes in the future!

As a dedicated racing enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement as I dive into the latest trailer for Project Motor Racing! Not only does it promise an unparalleled driving experience, but it also drops some major news about its race tracks. Among them are legendary circuits like the Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and Bathurst’s Mount Panorama – all of which have left their indelible mark on the world of motorsport. In total, this game is set to feature a whopping 28 unique race track layouts scattered across an impressive 18 global locations! Buckle up, folks, because it’s going to be one wild ride!

In simple terms, the game named Project Motor Racing utilizes its exclusive True2Track technology, which offers highly authentic representations of race tracks along with dynamic weather systems. These weather systems can influence racing lines due to realistic responses to conditions like rain, through accurate simulations of drying and drainage. Additionally, the game boasts a synchronized 24-hour day/night cycle that reflects real-world time variations.

The planned launch date for this racing game was set as far back as June. The design director, Austin Ogonoski, emphasized that creating a true-to-life driving experience using accurate racing physics is among the team’s top priorities.

In a nutshell, Ogonoski stated that the objective of Project Motor Racing is to convey the authentic challenges of professional motor racing: Budgets, repairs, sponsorships, and missed opportunities that can impact not just your vehicle but your entire season. He emphasized that the stakes in this racing project are high.

The game’s title includes support for mods, which will be created and shared using the official GIANTS Editor. This means players can customize their own content for the game. Furthermore, these mods are designed to function across all available platforms, and the studio ensures compatibility by taking responsibility for it.

Boris Stefan, Chief Strategy Officer and Publisher Head at GIANTS Software, mentioned that Project Motor Racing dives into the identical potent modding community as Farming Simulator when it was initially announced. This implies racing enthusiasts will have the flexibility to customize, fine-tune, and overhaul their gaming experience according to their preferences.

The highly-anticipated game titled “Project Motor Racing” will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S starting November 25th. To learn more about this exciting announcement, you can view the trailer unveiled back in April.
