Cairn, the mountain-climbing game from the makers of Furi and Haven, has been delayed out of 2025.
The game’s creators, The Game Bakers, have revealed that it will launch sometime during the first three months of 2026, though a specific release date hasn’t been set yet. Currently, they are aiming for a Q1 2026 window.
In a social media post, the team says the delay is to “ensure that [Cairn] launches at its best” and this will require “a little more time”. The extra time will go into “optimisation, debug, and polish”.

The game was previously set for release in early November.
Although the complete game is delayed, a new update is coming to the playable demo soon. On October 13th, this update will add player ghosts to the mountain, letting you see the routes other players have taken:
I’ve been really excited about Cairn for ages, especially because I’ve loved everything else the studio has made. I think waiting a few more months will be totally worth it to get a really polished and smooth experience. It’s going to be amazing!
