Proof the Two and a Half Men Cast Is Still Winning

Charlie Sheen admits he wasn’t the easiest person to work with during his eight years on the show Two and a Half Men.

Seeing his former costar, Jon Cryer, tell his story in the 2025 Netflix documentary aka Charlie Sheen helped Charlie Sheen strengthen his commitment to personal growth, especially after struggling with addiction and the very public difficulties that cost him his role on the CBS sitcom.

It was really insightful to hear his side of things,” the 60-year-old shared with People last September. “He was dealing with a lot of unnecessary drama, and it was impacting his life, family, and work. I completely understand and respect everything he said.”

Jon Cryer continued to star in the show until it ended in 2015, even after Charlie Sheen’s very public struggles. Sheen was fired after season eight in 2011, and Ashton Kutcher, known for That ’70s Show, joined the cast to take his place.

I still feel remorse about that situation,” Sheen admitted. “I believe my life would be very different today if I’d made different choices. My current struggles likely wouldn’t exist, but it’s impossible to say for sure.

Charlie Sheen, a father of five – including Cassandra (41, with Paula Profit), Sami (22), Lola (20, with Denise Richards), and 17-year-old twins Bob and Max (with Brooke Mueller) – is proud of maintaining his sobriety, which has now lasted over eight years.

Okay, so everyone keeps talking about a ‘comeback,’ but honestly, that’s not how I see it. It’s not about returning to anything, it’s a total reset for him! He’s just taking things one day at a time, and I’m totally here for it, whatever happens next. It’s like he’s finally free to just live, and it’s amazing to watch.

As for his former costars, dare we say they’re winning?

Although Angus T. Jones, who played his TV son, prefers to keep a low profile, John Cryer has continued to thrive on television, appearing in shows like Supergirl and Extended Family after his success on Pretty in Pink.

Now that Two and a Half Men is available on TopMob on Mondays and Fridays, we’re catching up with the actors from the show.

Charlie Sheen, son of Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez, starred as Charlie Harper in the first eight seasons of the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men alongside Jon Cryer. The eighth season ended early in 2011 due to Sheen’s struggles with addiction.

He had a very public falling out with executive producer Chuck Lorre, which led to his firing from the show and became known for catchphrases like “winning” and “tiger blood.” His character was then written off the show and briefly appeared as a ghost played by Kathy Bates.

After leaving Two and a Half Men, Sheen went on to star in the TV adaptation of Anger Management from 2012 to 2014. More recently, he’s made appearances on The Goldbergs and in films like Scary Movie 5, Machete Kills, and 9/11.

In 2023, Charlie Sheen, who publicly shared his HIV diagnosis in 2015, made a brief appearance as himself on the Max series Bookies. He followed this with the release of his memoir, The Book of Sheen, and a two-part documentary titled aka Charlie Sheen in 2025.

Sheen has been sober since late 2017. He has five children: sons Bob and Max with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, daughters Sami and Lola with ex-wife Denise Richards, and a daughter, Cassandra Estevez, from a previous relationship.

Jon Cryer is best known for his role as Alan Harper on all twelve seasons of Two and a Half Men. Following the show, he wrote a memoir in 2015 and made guest appearances on several television series, including Mom, The Ranch, NCIS, Robot Chicken, and Lady Dynamite. More recently, he played Lex Luthor on Supergirl (2019-2021) and Jim Kearney on Extended Family (2023-2024).

Cryer has two children: daughter Daisy with wife Lisa Joyner, and son Charlie with ex-wife Sarah Trigger.

Despite participating in the Netflix documentary aka Charlie Sheen, Cryer and Sheen are not close. In a January 2025 interview on Club Random With Bill Maher, Cryer stated, “We don’t have a relationship anymore.” He added that he wishes Sheen well and is glad to hear reports of his sobriety, noting they still share some mutual friends.

Angus T. Jones is best known for playing Jake Harper on the TV show Two and a Half Men. He became the highest-paid child actor on television at age 17, but he left the show in 2013 after becoming deeply religious. He did make a final appearance in the series finale in 2015.

After leaving the sitcom, Jones went to the University of Colorado Boulder and even started a media and events company with Justin Combs, son of Sean Combs.

In 2023, he made a brief appearance as himself on the Max series Bookies.

Jones generally keeps a low profile, but in 2020, he announced on Instagram that he was pursuing a career in music, saying, “I do music now, go head and get used to it loves.”

Ashton Kutcher, known for his role in That ’70s Show, joined Two and a Half Men in its ninth season after Charlie Sheen left the show. He played Walter Schmidt, a wealthy man who bought the house previously owned by Charlie Harper’s character, and remained with the series until it ended in 2015.

Following the end of Two and a Half Men, Ashton Kutcher starred in shows like The Ranch and films such as Vengeance and Your Place or Mine. He’s also a successful venture capitalist, with early investments in companies like Airbnb and Uber.

Kutcher married his That ’70s Show co-star, Mila Kunis, a few months after the series concluded in July 2015. They have two children: a daughter named Wyatt and a son named Dimitri.

As someone who’s always kept an eye on the entertainment world, I always enjoyed seeing Conchata Ferrell in so many of my favorite shows and films. She really had a knack for those memorable supporting roles – you probably recognize her from things like Erin Brockovich, Network, or even guest spots on L.A. Law and a show called E/R (which is different than the well-known ER!). But I think most of us will always remember her as Berta, the hilarious housekeeper on Two and a Half Men. She was absolutely brilliant in that role and rightfully earned two Emmy nominations for it!

Following the conclusion of Men, Ferrell acted in Krampus and Grace and Frankie, and later worked with Kutcher again on The Ranch. She passed away in October 2020 at the age of 77.

Following the conclusion of her role on the CBS sitcom, Marin Hinkle—known for playing Alan’s ex-wife Judith—appeared in the film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. She also had parts in several television series, including The Affair, Red Band Society, Madam Secretary, Homeland, and Speechless. From 2017 to 2023, she played Rose Weissman on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Hinkle has a son, Ben, with her former husband, Randall Sommer.

Melanie Lynskey is remembered by fans of Two and a Half Men for her role as Rose, the quirky neighbor of the Harpers. Her character had a relationship with Charlie and initially told everyone he had passed away in season nine. However, the show’s finale revealed that Rose had actually been holding him captive for four years.

Melanie Lynskey is a well-known actress who has appeared in films such as Sadie, Little Boxes, The Changeover, and Pike River. She’s also been in popular TV series like Togetherness, Castle Rock, Mrs. America, Candy, and Yellowjackets. In 2018, she and Jason Ritter had a daughter, and they married in 2020.

Amber Tamblyn played Jenny, Charlie’s daughter he didn’t know about, on seasons 11 and 12 of the show.

Since Two and a Half Men ended, she’s been in films like You Hurt My Feelings, Y: The Last Man, Nostalgia, and Girlfriend’s Day. She also wrote and directed the 2016 movie Paint It Black.

Tamblyn married David Cross in 2012, and they had a daughter, Marlow, in 2017.

Holland Taylor is well-known for her role as Evelyn Harper on all twelve seasons of Two and a Half Men. Since then, she’s appeared in several other popular television series, including The Morning Show, The Chair, Hollywood, and Mr. Mercedes. She’s also been in a number of films, such as Motherland, Quiz Lady, The Stand In, Bombshell, and Gloria Bell. Taylor has been in a relationship with Sarah Paulson since 2015.
