The prosecutors explained that they got hold of the video at the same time as everyone else. Specifically, they stated that the U.S. government acquired the Intercontinental Video on May 17, 2024, which was the same day CNN made the footage public.

They additionally claim that Combs fails to accept the possibility that various people, not only government officials – even some of his own staff members – might have obtained access to the Intercontinental video.

On October 3rd, the Combs case was moved to Judge Arun Subramanian’s courtroom as Judge Carter couldn’t set a trial date that worked for everyone involved.

During an Oct. 10 status hearing, Subramanian set a trial date of May 5, 2025.

Lawyer Johnson informed the judge that she anticipated the trial for Combs would run approximately three weeks. However, she added that there was a chance that a new indictment might be filed, potentially leading to additional accusations against Combs.

Agnifilo said in court they’d need about a week to put on their case.

Simultaneously, the lawyer expressed that Combs eagerly anticipated taking the stand to present his case personally.
