PS Plus Adds This Iconic RPG to Extra’s Catalogue in September

During this week’s State of Play presentation, it was revealed that the classic RPG RuneScape will be available on PlayStation 5, alongside the survival game Dragonwilds, starting September 15th.

Just wanted to let you guys know, this game is going to be available on day one with PS Plus Extra! That means if you’re a member, you can jump right in and play the whole thing without needing to buy it separately. Pretty sweet deal, right?

The game has been playable on PC for a while now in an early version, but this is the official, full release.

The press release reveals:

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is a new, cooperative survival and crafting game set in the world of RuneScape. It’s the first standalone game in the long-running RuneScape franchise and has already sold over a million copies in early access. Players can explore the new continent of Ashenfall – a previously unseen part of Gielinor – either alone or with up to three friends, and uncover the source of a mysterious, powerful magic that’s reshaping the land.

I’m really excited about this game! It’s set in a world overflowing with magic, and you can use spells not just to fight, but also for everyday stuff like gathering items and crafting. It’s a tough world, full of dragons, so you have to get stronger by leveling up your skills and making potions and gear. The ultimate goal? To battle your way through all these fierce creatures and finally face off against the Dragon Queen herself! It sounds amazing.

Players have responded really well to the initial Early Access version, so we’re optimistic the game will be popular on consoles. Being available to PlayStation Plus Extra members from day one is definitely a bonus.
