The PlayStation Store often reveals details before big gaming events, and it’s happened again with The Game Awards just around the corner.
There’s been a lot of talk that Leon S. Kennedy would play a significant role in Resident Evil Requiem, even though Capcom hadn’t featured him in any trailers or gameplay footage. Now, it’s confirmed: Leon appears in the background of the game’s updated cover art on the PlayStation Store.
The game isn’t fully available for download yet, but if you pre-ordered it, you might be able to see a new image on the PS5 pre-download page. This page also tells you when the pre-load will start. We’ve included a larger version of the image here for a closer look.
Players who pre-ordered the game on Reddit first noticed the updated cover art, and IGN has now verified its authenticity. The new artwork prominently features Grace Ashcroft holding a torch, with Leon positioned behind her, suggesting he’ll be a playable character in the game.
Capcom will be showing off a new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem at The Game Awards this week. The reveal is expected to be official, and many are anticipating a trailer ending with an appearance by Leon Kennedy, or something similar.
