We got our first good look at Marvel’s Wolverine, the upcoming action game from Insomniac Games, earlier in the year.
Enjoying what you’ve seen? You can now add the game to your PlayStation 5 wishlist on the PS Store.
Having successfully created three well-received Spider-Man games, the studio is now tackling a more adult-focused project, emphasizing the character’s tendency towards brutal combat.
Here’s the official blurb for the game, taken from the PS Store page:
Wolverine is on a quest to uncover his forgotten past, and he’ll stop at nothing to do so. He’ll use his savage fighting skills, fierce anger, and unwavering resolve to piece together the truth about who he once was.
Marvel’s Wolverine is a brand new game from Insomniac Games, the studio behind the popular Marvel’s Spider-Man series. It reimagines the classic Wolverine character from Marvel Comics.
Aside from the trailer, we haven’t learned much else. It shows Logan traveling to different places and easily defeating opponents.
The trailer shows that Mystique and the villain Omega Red will both appear, but it’s still unclear what roles other characters will have in the story.
The game is scheduled to be released in Fall 2026, about a year from now. You can add it to your wishlist now, but pre-orders probably won’t be available until closer to the release date. Sony will likely make a significant announcement when pre-orders do become available.
