Sunblink has announced that the PlayStation 5 version of Hello Kitty Island Adventure, its Animal Crossing alternative, will be available starting August 5th, 2025. Initially released for Nintendo Switch and PC at the start of this year, the game garnered positive reviews due to its life-sim elements, which are anticipated to carry over seamlessly to PS5.
On the 5th of August, you can access the digital version of the title through the PlayStation Store. A physical copy will become available on the 29th of August as well. The game is also planned for PS4, but a specific release date has not been disclosed at this time during today’s unveiling.

In a manner reminiscent of Animal Crossing, Hello Kitty Island Adventure immerses you in the challenge of revitalizing a once-thriving theme park.
Design an exclusive Sanrio-inspired persona and interact with beloved Sanrio characters such as Kuromi, Badtz-Maru, Cinnamoroll, Chococat, and Aggretsuko. Exchange gifts, accomplish tasks, and engage in island activities to foster friendships. Decorate your cabins to attract more friends of Hello Kitty. Develop a fashionable wardrobe, unravel intriguing mysteries, prepare delicious dishes, gather charming pets, go fishing, and venture the island either alone or with a companion to discover the countless secrets hidden within this expansive virtual world.
Upon its debut on Nintendo Switch, the game received a Metacritic score of 80. Our sister site, Nintendo Life, gave it an 8 out of 10.
