Crimson Desert is proving to be a major success for Pearl Abyss. Even though the game has received varied opinions and some criticism, it has already sold 4 million copies.
It achieves this remarkable feat just under two weeks after launching on March 19th, 2026.
While not everyone is a fan of Crimson Desert, it’s definitely gaining popularity. We’re seeing lots of gameplay footage on social media, with players sharing discoveries and interesting things they’ve found while playing.
We agree the game is impressive and a great accomplishment, but technical issues, particularly on the PlayStation 5, hold it back from being truly excellent.
However, the game is being updated frequently, so these problems will likely be fixed over time. We’ll need to wait and see how the PlayStation 5 version plays in a few months.
The game is definitely a hit! What’s been your favorite part of Crimson Desert so far? Let us know in the comments below.
