The anticipated game of March 2026 is getting a significant boost on the PS5 Pro. Sony recently released PSSR 2.0, a major upgrade to the console’s upscaling technology. Resident Evil Requiem was the first game to utilize PSSR 2.0, and more titles are planned to follow. We’ve now learned that another large, highly-anticipated game will also support this feature.
Pearl Abyss’ highly anticipated open-world game, Crimson Desert, will be optimized for the new PS5 Pro when it launches on March 19th. After years of development, the game is expected to be a major hit this month, particularly for PlayStation 5 owners, and the fact that it will also take full advantage of the PS5 Pro’s upgraded features is a welcome surprise, adding to the already considerable excitement.
What Will These PS5 Pro Features Do?

As a huge fan, I’m really excited to hear what Crimson Desert will be capable of on the PS5 Pro! Apparently, it’s aiming for 4K resolution with smoother frame rates, and they’re even adding ray tracing to make the lighting look amazing and more realistic. We don’t have exact numbers yet on what resolution and frame rate it’ll actually hit, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon. Either way, it sounds like the PS5 Pro version is going to be the definitive experience, especially for those of us who play on consoles.
Even if you’re not playing on the PS5 Pro, Crimson Desert is looking fantastic on other platforms too. If the game launches smoothly, it has the potential to be one of the best-looking games of early 2026.
