Okay, so I just upgraded to the PS5 Pro, and I’m seriously blown away! I fired up a 12-year-old PS4 game after a big update, and it looks incredible. I always thought the jump from PS4 to PS5 wasn’t as huge as some other console generations, and honestly, I think the best-looking and most technically impressive game of the last ten years was actually on PS4 – Red Dead Redemption 2. So, while it’s not something you see all the time, it doesn’t totally surprise me that an older PS4 game could look this good on the Pro, especially with a recent update. It’s just…wow.

This week saw a major update for Assassin’s Creed Unity, most notably adding support for 60 frames per second. The game launched with significant technical problems, which is reflected in its 70 Metacritic score. However, over time, those issues were resolved, revealing a truly excellent Assassin’s Creed game that many fans unfortunately never got to fully enjoy due to the rocky start. Even then, Unity was visually impressive, and it still holds up today. This new update is bringing players back to the game, and many are discovering that it looks as good now, if not better, than more recent titles.
