Capcom deserves praise for successfully bringing many of its older, beloved games to today’s consoles and PCs.
The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on March 27th, preserving seven classic Nintendo DS games. The release date was seemingly revealed early by Sony, as the official trailer is currently unlisted.
This package includes seven games, but it’s important to know they’re not all unique. The series heavily draws inspiration from Pokémon, meaning you’ll essentially play variations of just three different games.
Those games are:
- Mega Man Star Force Leo
- Mega Man Star Force Dragon
- Mega Man Star Force Pegasus
- Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker x Ninja
- Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker x Saurian
- Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace
- Mega Man Star Force 3 Red Joker
This game continues the Mega Man Battle Network story, but with a new twist: the card-based battles are now viewed from a third-person perspective.
Here’s the official blurb courtesy of Capcom:
The popular Mega Man Star Force series—originally a set of games that also became an anime—is now available in the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection! This collection features all seven games, plus extras like artwork and music. You can even play online with others!
