THQ Nordic, the publisher, and DigixArt, the game developer, have announced that their new story-driven adventure game, Tides of Tomorrow, will be released at a later date than previously planned.
The highly anticipated sci-fi game, initially expected in late February, will now launch on April 22, 2026.
In a press release, the publisher explains why the team needs more time:
After listening to feedback from players who tried the demo and participated in the closed beta, the development team has decided to take more time to refine the game. This will allow them to make improvements based on player suggestions and deliver the best possible experience for this story-focused adventure.
Okay, so Tides of Tomorrow is this really cool adventure game I’ve been checking out. It’s played from a first-person perspective and the story is awesome, but the thing that really sets it apart is that what other players do actually changes things for me in the game. It’s not just a single-player experience; everyone’s actions matter!
The game lets you follow another player – a friend or someone you don’t know – and their choices will change how the story unfolds for you. Similarly, your decisions will affect the game for someone else. It’s a shared, evolving story experience.
In a world covered in water, you’ll journey between floating towns, meet lots of different people, and collect supplies to stay alive.
It seems really special, and we’re excited to try it out when it’s released in a few months.
