IO Interactive is marking 25 years of the Hitman series by releasing a physical copy of the Hitman trilogy for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Interestingly, this physical release is currently only planned for the PS5.
A special “25th Anniversary Box” featuring three games is coming to PlayStation on October 17, 2025, and costs $49.99 or £44.99. You can pre-order it now! The box includes the games in a unique PS5 case with updated artwork, plus all four pieces of downloadable content and a collectible art card.
Here’s what all that looks like:
Now that the studio has showcased its new 007 First Light game, they’re fully focused on its development. It’s great to see them also acknowledge the Hitman series, which helped build their reputation. Almost every main Hitman game has been released on PlayStation, becoming a key part of the platform’s collection of stealth games, alongside titles like Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid.
