PlayStation players on both PS5 and PS4 have a chance to grab a fantastic video game trilogy for only $6 – that’s about $2 per game! The PlayStation Store is currently offering a 90% discount on the collection, reducing the price from $60 to just $6. This offer won’t last forever, though, and ends on January 22nd.
For the next 11 days, PlayStation Network users with PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, and PS5 consoles can get the Batman: Arkham Collection for free. This collection includes a highly-rated game originally released on PS3. While these games are a bit older now, they still play great and are currently available at their lowest price ever on the PlayStation Store.
Some of the Best Superhero Games
The Batman: Arkham Collection includes three games. First, there’s Batman: Arkham Asylum from 2009, which received a score of 91 and was considered one of the best games of that year. It also features Batman: Arkham City from 2011, widely regarded as the best game in the series and a standout title of its generation, earning a 96 on Metacritic.
This collection doesn’t include Batman: Arkham Origins, a game that takes place nine years before Batman: Arkham Asylum. Unlike the other games in the series, which were developed by Rocksteady Studios in the UK, Arkham Origins was created by WB Games Montreal, a Canadian team. It also received lower ratings than the other titles, with a Metacritic score of 76.
This collection also includes Batman: Arkham Knight from 2015, which was the last major game in the core Arkham series—subsequent releases have been spin-offs. While Arkham Knight looks and plays more like a current-generation game due to its original release on the PlayStation 4, it’s actually the weakest title in the bundle, scoring an 87 on Metacritic.
This collection includes all previously released downloadable content for all three games, and that’s all you get. These aren’t updated versions of the games, and they haven’t been modernized with new features. However, the original games are still enjoyable today.
PlayStation Plus Availability and Pricing
For PlayStation 4 and 5 owners, this is currently the best deal you’ll find on this collection. It’s not included with PS Plus Extra or Premium, and there are no plans for that to change. Plus, prices on the PlayStation Store are unlikely to drop further – it’s been available for eight years, and this is probably the lowest it will go. WB Games doesn’t often offer discounts greater than 90%, so this is a good opportunity.
