PS6 Could Cut Costs with Just 1TB Storage, But Games May Have Smaller File Sizes Than Before

A reliable source known for leaking PlayStation information, KeplerL2, suggests Sony might reduce costs with the PS6 by including only 1TB of storage and removing the disc drive. A bundle with the disc drive could be offered separately, similar to how the PS5 is currently sold.

The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition comes with 825GB of storage. You can increase this by buying and installing a compatible NVMe SSD separately.

Memory prices have risen dramatically in the last year, more than doubling in cost. Because of this, Sony has temporarily stopped selling memory cards for its digital cameras until prices stabilize.
