As of Monday, October 20th, 2025, at 1:00 PM, the AWS outage is starting to resolve, and fewer PlayStation Network (PSN) users are experiencing problems.
Gran Turismo 7 also experienced problems due to the recent outages, but is expected to be back up and running soon.
Everything should be back to normal in a few hours, but this situation has reminded us again how much we depend on these servers.
Original Story: If you’re having issues connecting to PSN right now, you’re not alone.
A current problem with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is affecting many online services, including the network for Sony gaming.
Our connection seems a little unstable right now. We’ve noticed a lot more people reporting outages in our area over the last couple of hours, according to DownDetector.
PlayStation’s network doesn’t appear to be having any problems, but some games played on the system, including Fortnite and Roblox, are currently experiencing difficulties.
As a fan, when something this big goes down globally, you’d really hope it would be fixed fast. And like they said earlier, how quickly things get back to normal might be different for everyone, so your experience could vary.
This isn’t limited to PlayStation Network; banking apps, social media, and messaging platforms are also vulnerable.
You may just have to take a trip to the Winchester and ride this one out, folks.
