Regardless, the network seems to be experiencing intermittent problems, as evidenced by the flood of reports pouring in.
Although the network isn’t fully down, it’s advisable to log into your PlayStation 5 when you turn it on. However, some functions such as the Friends list might be malfunctioning. Interestingly, your PS5 seems to indicate that you have no friends at all, which appears unlikely unless we’ve all mysteriously unfriended you.
On the home screen of the PlayStation 5, elements such as the PS Store and PS Plus icons appear to be slow in loading. It suggests that PlayStation Network (PSN) is currently experiencing some strain, causing a slight delay in the overall user experience.
