PUBG: BLINDSPOT, a free-to-play team shooter where two teams of five players battle it out from a top-down perspective, will be available on PC through Steam in Early Access starting February 5th. This was announced by publisher KRAFTON and developer PUBG Studios.
The initial release of PUBG: BLINDSPOT will focus on the fundamental gameplay. We’ll then regularly update the game to improve how it plays, balance the different classes and weapons, and add more features and content. How long the Early Access period lasts will depend on how development goes and what players think.

Combat Centered Around the Crypt
Okay, so you know those classic bomb defusal missions from a bunch of games? Well, PUBG: BLINDSPOT lets you play them from a top-down perspective. It’s a pretty cool twist on a familiar idea!
Your team needs to get inside the building and reach a secret Crypt. To do this, you’ll install a Decrypter. You can blast your way through walls and enemy defenses using grenade launchers and explosive hammers, or try to surprise and defeat the enemy.
Sometimes, I get to play defense, and it’s awesome! My job is to stop the other team from getting to the Crypt and setting up their Decrypter. I do that by locking doors and building barricades to block their way – basically, making it as hard as possible for them to get through!
Once the Decrypter is turned on, the crypt will flash from blue to red, indicating it’s been successfully hacked. The crypt is what controls the Blue Chip, so a compromise could cause problems. What are the potential consequences if someone gains control of it?
Deep CQB Cooperative Tactics
Today’s close-range gun battles focus on quickly breaking the enemy’s vision, getting a clear view of your surroundings, and striking before they can react.
PUBG: BLINDSPOT lets you and your teammates share what you see in real-time, making teamwork instant and intuitive. This creates quick, intense close-quarters combat against other players.
Unique Characters and Specialized Gadgets
The characters in PUBG: BLINDSPOT each have their preferred weapons and distinctive gadgets.
The game features weapons you’ll likely recognize, including the Mk14, AWM, and P90, alongside new and interesting gadgets. Expect to find things like Blue Zone grenades, recon drones, grenade launchers, and proximity mines. Classic throwables, such as flashbangs and smoke grenades, are also included.
