
The Fab Five isn’t seeing eye to eye.
Karamo Brown, one of the stars of Netflix’s Queer Eye, missed another interview about the show’s tenth and final season because he was worried about being bullied. His fellow cast members – Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Jonathan van Ness, and Jeremiah Brent – said they were taken aback by his decision to skip the interview.
On the January 20th episode of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle, Antoni, the show’s food and wine expert, said they were sorry he was absent and that everyone fully supported his decision to prioritize his well-being.
He explained that appearing with his fellow cast members before the season began—which was filmed in Washington, D.C.—was a way to celebrate the show’s ten-year anniversary, something he found amazing to consider.
Tan, the stylist, made it clear the show focused on the people they were helping, not on him or the rest of the Fab Five.
We were the public faces of the show, but it really focused on the heroes and brought people together in a wonderful way, as I see it. I believe the show’s lasting impact will be its positivity, beauty, and the attempt to improve the world.
He finished by saying how incredibly proud he was of everything they’d accomplished as a team, especially recognizing Karamo’s contributions. He believed their combined work had been truly meaningful and impactful.
Karamo used a technique similar to what he does on Queer Eye in a video message to his co-hosts, Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones.
I’m using this season to showcase what matters most to me, and I want to remind everyone: prioritize self-love and safety,” the 45-year-old explained. “That’s why I’m staying home instead of attending events elsewhere.

Sheinelle mentioned they received a message explaining Karamo wouldn’t be attending, as his therapist had recommended he prioritize his well-being and take time to protect himself.
Before appearing on Today, Karamo shared with Gayle King that he wouldn’t be on CBS Mornings. This news comes two years after Bobby Berk, the show’s interior designer, left the program.
Before the interview, Gayle shared a message reminding everyone of a lesson she’s emphasized for the past ten years: prioritizing and safeguarding your mental well-being from negativity and harmful influences. She explained that this is the reason she couldn’t attend the interview.
