On November 20 (Japan time), the enhanced version of R-Type Delta titled “HD Boosted” is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam, as announced by its publisher, City Connection.

The Meaning of Delta

Story

In the year 2163, the battered R9 Arrowhead spacecraft, having completed its mission to obliterate the Bydo Empire, returns to Earth and is retrieved by the warship Croque-Monsieur. It’s subsequently transferred to a space station in orbit. A year passes, with astronomers in Central Asia witnessing strange objects plummeting from the heavens. Shortly after, contact with the orbital annihilation platform Moritz-G is lost, and it descends upon a city, leveling it into oblivion. Although Moritz-G’s planet-destroying weaponry remains dormant, its sophisticated defense mechanisms render it nearly untouchable. In response to this crisis, an urgent military operation is initiated, leading to the deployment of the prototype vessel R9aII Delta in a bid to resolve the predicament. This marks the commencement of the epic struggle chronicled in R-Type Delta!
