With 76 playable characters already available in Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft is hinting at the addition of Solid Snake from Konami’s Metal Gear Solid. A new teaser features Sam Fisher (Zero from Splinter Cell) warning someone over a communication channel that time is running out and they have only one chance to succeed.
Okay, so the new trailer just dropped, and instantly I recognized the sneaking suit. Then this figure pulls out a silenced pistol, and the whole screen fills with red smoke. Honestly, if you still didn’t get it, the video is literally titled ‘Solid Snake teaser’! It’s definitely him, and I’m hyped!
After years of anticipation, Sam Fisher and Solid Snake are finally teaming up in a game! It’s a fitting moment, considering a previous game, Ghost Recon Wildlands, suggested Solid Snake had retired from espionage.
Ubisoft is planning a big reveal on February 15th at 8 AM Pacific Time, showing off what’s coming in Year 11 of the game, including more details about Solid Snake. This announcement comes after a difficult start to the year, where hackers caused problems and players faced unexpected bans. Hopefully, the content planned for the next year will live up to expectations and provide a positive experience for players.
You can play Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Last year, the game received a significant update and was rebranded as Siege X.
