Nodding Heads Games is making a sequel to their action adventure game, Raji: An Ancient Epic, called Raji: Kaliyuga. The new game will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. The developers haven’t announced a specific release date yet.
Here is an overview of the game, via Nodding Heads Games:
Six years after the first game, Raji: Kaliyuga continues the story, showing a much larger conflict than before. It’s not just a war between humans, but a battle involving gods, demons, and powerful magic. The ancient demon lord, Mahabalasura, breaks the seals on the heavens too early, disrupting the balance of the divine world and starting an endless war across all realms.
The story follows Raji, an experienced warrior, and her brother Darsh, a young man who can see visions of the past and future. They undertake a dangerous quest to reach the Eternal Summit, traveling through different realms. Their journey will determine the fate of the universe – will they save it, or will they have to destroy it to stop the fighting?
In Raji: Kaliyuga, you play as two characters: Raji, a skilled warrior devoted to her faith, and Darsh, a powerful dreamwalker. You’ll switch between them as the story unfolds, and they often work together. Raji fights with impressive acrobatics and a sacred weapon called the Trishul, while Darsh discovers incredible abilities, using magical powers called Siddhis to control things like gravity, time, and energy.
The game features unique systems for each character: Raji has a customizable dodging mechanic, while Darsh unlocks powerful abilities through a special system. These allow players to personalize how they move and fight, creating their own unique combat approach.
