Hideo Kojima, the famous video game director, is aiming to be the first to digitally capture a real ghost and include it in one of his games.
After Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary livestream, Hideo Kojima jokingly mentioned his intention to travel the world and scan genuinely frightening places to include in his new horror game, *OD*.
And as part of the process, he hopes to go on a ghost hunt.
“I want to scan a ghost for the first time and I want to get an award for that,” he joked.
Kojima explained that he managed to capture a unique “crackling” sound in the studio, and he later incorporated it into the trailer featuring Sophia Lillis.
Perhaps that was a ghost, too?
Hideo Kojima has always been a pioneer in gaming, but finding a real ghost to include in his game would truly be something special – and perhaps justify his recent award. We wish him the best of luck with his search!
