Ray J is making a speedy recovery.
Just days after being hospitalized with serious heart problems and saying he nearly died, the singer known for “Sexy Can I” shared good news: he’s now doing well.
As he put it in a video obtained by TopMob News Jan. 30, “I feel better today.”
His manager agreed, explaining that a recent doctor’s appointment helped him make positive changes.
Describing the appointment, his rep went on to say that the doctor “did miracles.”
Indeed, with his health on the mend, Ray J has seemingly been able to turn his focus to his family.
The rapper was seen entering a courthouse in San Fernando, California, regarding an incident where he was accused of threatening his estranged wife, Princess Love, with a gun, according to police records obtained by NBC News. Ray J has denied these claims, telling TMZ in December that he would never threaten anyone, including Princess Love.
Because of a court order issued after their disagreement, he hasn’t been allowed to see his former partner or their children, 7-year-old Melody and 5-year-old Epik.
Ray J, who filed for divorce from Princess Love for the third time in 2024 – after a previous attempt was dismissed – expressed hope after a court hearing that he would be able to see his children soon.
TopMob News contacted both the San Fernando Courthouse and representatives for Ray J and Princess Love, but they haven’t received a response yet.

Just a week before he was due in court, Ray J revealed he’d been hospitalized with pneumonia. He said the illness had reduced his heart function to just 25 percent.
Ray J shared in an Instagram video on January 25th that he hasn’t been feeling well and expressed gratitude for the support and prayers he’s received while in the hospital.
Soon after, the singer of “One Wish” revealed he didn’t think he would live to see 2027, explaining that certain problems had left him feeling deeply disheartened.
Ray J announced during an Instagram Live session on January 27th that he’s finished having children. He indicated this by placing his hand over his heart and saying, “This is done.”
He maintained that he intended to consult a doctor regarding his issues, and he had the backing of his sister, Brandy, as well as his parents, Sonja Norwood and Willie Norwood.
I’m so grateful my parents are picking me up tomorrow to take me to my doctor’s appointment. Big thanks to them, and also to Brandy for always having my back – she’s a lifesaver!

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often negative side, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” during interviews, she was surprised to see doctors commenting online, concerned she might have Cushing syndrome. They pointed out changes in her face and suggested further investigation. This prompted Amy to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section, which could have caused the condition. She wouldn’t have known about the potential problem without the online comments. Amy recently shared that she’s relieved to learn her type of Cushing syndrome is temporary and she’s healthy, calling it “the greatest news imaginable.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and experiencing drooping on the right side of her face. Although these symptoms eventually subsided, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had suffered a small blood clot to the brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that temporarily paralyzed part of his face, forcing him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, causing paralysis. He showed fans how he couldn’t blink, smile, or move his nostril on one side of his face, and that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat. Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering nonsensical phrases.
Though she left the hospital after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described a time when she was losing her hearing, unable to walk for more than a few minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experiencing constant stomach pain. She faced confusion as different doctors offered varying diagnoses.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who prefers to keep her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being lasted for a decade.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and, eventually, to issues with body image and a sense of self. However, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now doing much better. She’s happy to report that she’s fully recovered and healthy.
