Ray J Makes Rare Comments About Whitney Houston’s Death

Ray J is shutting down rumors surrounding Whitney Houston’s death.

More than ten years following the Grammy-winning artist’s accidental drowning death in her Beverly Hilton hotel bathroom, Ray J has recently responded to rumors suggesting his involvement in her unfortunate demise in 2012.

In a July 25th episode of Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, the man who was dating Whitney at the time, aged 44, expressed that he had never come across such an extravagant claim before, and had been hearing it since the start.

As a die-hard admirer, I’ve found myself compelled to address the rumors swirling about me and the “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” icon’s passing. Contrary to what some might believe, I’ve chosen not to delve into the intimate details of our past relationship because it’s a personal matter between us. The focus should be on her incredible legacy, not on speculation or unfounded accusations.

He went on to say, “Since you’re aware of the truth, why feel compelled to share it with everyone? I paid no mind to people’s opinions.

But lately, the “hurtful” online discourse has been getting out of hand.

He stated, “That’s the reality.” The way they presented it gave me chills. Interestingly enough, I wasn’t present at all. Instead, I was engaged in a performance in San Diego.

Actually, the artist known as “Sexy Can I” mentioned that he and Whitney intended to reveal their relationship at Clive Davis’ event, which was his annual pre-Grammy gathering. This revelation occurred on the very night of Whitney’s passing.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: Although I found it rather unpleasant to share something that couldn’t be reciprocated, Ray J – the brother of my co-star Brandy from “Cinderella” – shared the heartbreaking way he learned about her passing.

Upon my return to the hotel, they initially refused to let me ascend, until all matters were resolved and only the immediate family remained. (This version aims to make the sentence more conversational and easier to understand.)

In addition, he also debunked other speculations claiming he was the one who discovered Whitney’s body. Instead, it was her bodyguard, specifically Ray Watson, who made the discovery.

In my perspective as a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: “I was conspicuously absent during that crucial moment, and it pains me deeply to discuss it because she means the world to me. I’ve never witnessed her in such distress. To be portrayed as the one responsible when I wasn’t even present, and to have ‘murderer’ added to my persona, is simply unjust and heartbreaking.

Last month, I found myself echoing the sentiments of the “One Wish” singer, as I too expressed concern over influencers manipulating their platforms to distort reality.

Ray J clarified to Moniece Slaughter on Twitch last month that he prefers to let a narrative unfold rather than feel compelled to justify himself. However, he added, “If things start getting out of hand and false narratives arise, I might have to speak up, whether I want to or not. It’s like, this is just too absurd.
