Rayman is back! Ubisoft has just released Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition, a collection featuring all the different versions of the original game. You can play it today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC (through Steam and Ubisoft Connect), and Nintendo Switch.
As a huge Rayman fan, I’m so excited about this collection from Digital Eclipse! It’s got Rayman on pretty much every classic system – MS-DOS, PlayStation 1, Game Boy Color and Advance, and even the Atari Jaguar. They even found a really old, never-released version for the Super NES! The games themselves are still challenging, even if you’re good at platformers, but they’ve added some awesome new stuff like infinite lives, the ability to rewind, and you can unlock all the levels right away if you want. It’s the best of both worlds!
The Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition isn’t just the original game; it includes a ton of extra content! You’ll find Rayman’s New Levels, Rayman 60 Levels, and Rayman By His Fans, adding over 120 new stages to play. Plus, the game features improved graphics and a remastered soundtrack. Like other retro releases from Digital Eclipse, this edition also lets you explore the game’s development, with design documents, concept art, and over 50 minutes of interviews with the original creators.
Okay, so I’m really hoping the rumors are true – it sounds like they’re working on a remake of Rayman Legends! That would be amazing. And even better, people are saying a brand new Rayman game might be coming too, but honestly, we haven’t seen anything official about that one yet. Fingers crossed!
