nDreams Elevation has unveiled a fresh trailer for their upcoming VR game Reach, and they’ve made some exciting announcements! They revealed that pre-orders are now open, and the game will be launched on October 16 for PC VR (via Steam), Meta Quest 3, and PlayStation VR2. Here’s a glimpse of the trailer below. Enjoy!
In addition to this announcement, nDream has also disclosed that pre-ordering Reach grants access to some additional items: a Traditional Ferran Outfit, an Ornate Bow, a Ferran Guard Shield, Traditional Gauntlets, and an Ornate Drone.
The trailer further showcases the gameplay of Reach, and simultaneously unveils the narrative basis for the protagonist’s possession of various tools. Among these are gauntlets that amplify her attacks, along with a versatile shield capable of deflecting attacks, serving as a projectile, and even assisting in platform navigation by generating temporary platforms.
The intricate details of playing the game “Reach” were recently demonstrated with a lengthy trailer, revealing its initial stages. This trailer highlighted the intense battle sequences where players will employ their bow, diverse types of special arrows, and a shield to combat numerous adversaries. Additionally, the 3D environments provide ample vertical maneuverability for players. Moreover, players can seize weapons from defeated enemies, expanding their weapon collection.
In terms of exploration, the game “Reach” will emphasize swift parkour movements, featuring ziplines, slim ledges, and expansive gaps to leap over. Players will be equipped with a grappling hook for navigating through broader areas of “Reach”, and there are enhancements as well, such as gloves that adhere to metallic surfaces or arrows that attach to walls, providing players with innovative methods to traverse the environment.
The narrative of the game Reach places the player as a reluctant hero embarking on a perilous mission to unearth the mysteries behind an ancient underworld civilization that collapsed, revealing glimpses of this tale in our earlier trailer. The story begins with the protagonist seeking a crucial “Power Core” vital for humanity, only to stumble further underground as events unfold unfavorably.
As a Virtual Reality (VR) exclusive title, Reach offers an array of unique elements tailored to this medium. This includes the ability for hardware that can handle it to recognize your full body movements, enhancing immersion. Additionally, the game boasts action-packed sequences involving not just spectacular battles against colossal bosses, but also clashes with military machines such as helicopters and trucks brimming with adversaries.
In the official Steam page for Reach, some gameplay clips hint at a feature where players can traverse diverse environments. This includes leaping across various realms, not just above ground but also beneath it. They will need to skillfully maneuver around crashing debris and enemy gunfire in order to progress through these environments.
