Reba McEntire and Rex Linn Confirm Engagement at Emmys 2025

Reba McEntire and Rex Linn have found their happy place at the Emmys 2025.

Actors from *Happy’s Place*, who have been dating for five years, are engaged! They shared the happy news with *Live From TopMob: 2025 Emmys* correspondent Zuri Hall on the red carpet at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on September 14th. (See photos of all the celebrity arrivals here.)

Oh my gosh, you guys, it *finally* happened! Zuri just casually mentioned Rex as Reba’s *fiancé* and co-star on that new show, *Happy’s Place*, and Reba was just glowing! She was so happy, she said they’re having a blast filming and she was thrilled to be there tonight. I seriously can’t handle the cuteness! They’re perfect together, I always knew it!

I was so thrilled to see them there! They actually first met way back in the ’90s, but it wasn’t until 2020, after running into each other again while working on *Young Sheldon*, that they started dating. And what a night to be celebrating – the 40th anniversary of *The Golden Girls*! Reba even gave a beautiful musical performance as part of the tribute. It was a really special event.

Reba described the show as something you could watch endlessly. Rex playfully added that not enjoying *The Golden Girls* would be like disliking puppies.

The actor mentioned he’d occasionally find Reba watching old episodes of the show late at night.

Reba said she identifies with Dorothy, Bea Arthur’s character, explaining that she’s direct and doesn’t beat around the bush.

Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland is very direct about love. She’s made it clear to TopMob News that she’s deeply committed to her fiancé, Rex, and is even open to getting married again.

As a longtime fan, it was really heartwarming to hear Reba talk about this! She mentioned in an interview last month that she’s totally supportive of whoever her son chooses to marry. Knowing her history – she was married to Charlie Battles for years, then Narvel Blackstock for even longer – it’s sweet that she wants him to have whatever makes him happy. She pointed out he’s never been married before, and if that’s something he really wants, she’s completely okay with it.

The Grammy-winning artist also joked that she and Rex have been together almost constantly since June 16, 2020.

She described feeling an instant connection when they first met during the pandemic. They built a close bond by texting and talking on the phone, something she felt wouldn’t have happened if they’d been together in person constantly from the start.
