After the Grammy-winning artist appeared at the 2025 Emmys with her partner, Rex Linn, and a brand-new ring, many people began to speculate about an engagement.
The couple shared the exciting news with Zuri Hall, a correspondent for *Live From TopMob: 2025 Emmys*, while on the red carpet just before the show started on September 14th. (You can see all the fashion and jewelry from the Emmys red carpet here.)
When Zuri called Rex Reba’s fiancĆ©, the singer responded by saying they were having a great time on “Happy’s Place” and were happy to be there that night.

Reba and Rex have been dating for five years, and why not pick a big stage to share the love?
Everyone noticed her sparkly ring on the red carpet, but it really stood out when she joined Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman from Little Big Town on stage. They performed “Thank You for Being a Friend” as a tribute to *The Golden Girls*, and then presented the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
This will be Reba’s third time getting married. She was previously married to Charlie Battles and Narvel Blackstock.
And she wasn’t in any big rush to tie the knot again, but was open to the possibility.

She told TopMob News in April 2024 that she supports his decision if it’s important to him. Since he hasn’t been married before, she’s happy for him to explore that experience if he wants to.
But Reba also continued to feel grateful for what they had.
Speaking to *Us Weekly* last October, she shared that they’d been together for nearly five years and that both she and her partner were in good health. She added that her family was also healthy, and expressed feeling incredibly grateful for everything she had.
The 70-year-old explained that he and Rex are very close friends, sharing similar tastes and passions. They both enjoy cooking and are big food lovers. As children, they dreamed of being cowboys and cowgirls, but ended up pursuing careers in entertainment. He added that they have great chemistry, both on and off camera.
They’re still very comfortable and successful in their environment, and Rex adds an extra level of skill or value to the team.
Reba shared with Fox News Digital in May that she and her partner have great chemistry, especially because he’s a better cook. They also share a love for the University of Texas Longhorns, the Western lifestyle, and both come from backgrounds in the entertainment world.
He’s an actor, and I’m a singer,” she explained. “I’ve always enjoyed acting, and now we’re working together, which is wonderful. We really click, though we definitely have our disagreements. We argue sometimes, even a lot, but it’s all in good fun.
And since they were already acting like a married couple…
