The new LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Death Star (set #75419) is generating a lot of excitement – and some debate – among fans. Its $1000 price and impressive collection of 38 minifigures are major talking points. While some hoped for a fully spherical model, this version features a cutaway design. Despite this, it’s expected to be a fast seller and a prized possession for Star Wars LEGO enthusiasts when it becomes available to LEGO Insiders members on October 1st. We’ve got all the details you need to prepare for the launch, including information on special offers and what to do if it sells out quickly.
This is the third LEGO Death Star set, following versions released in 2008 (3803 pieces, 24 minifigures) and 2016 (4016 pieces, 27 minifigures). The newest version is significantly larger, containing a massive 9023 pieces and 38 minifigures. This makes it the most detailed Star Wars LEGO set ever, surpassing the previous record holder, the UCS Millennium Falcon (7541 pieces). It also includes more minifigures than the Marvel Avengers Tower (31). Overall, it’s the fifth-largest LEGO set of all time, behind the World Map, Eiffel Tower, Titanic, and Colosseum.

The LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Death Star (set #75419) costs $999.99 and will be available starting October 1st for LEGO Insiders members. Special gifts with purchase will also be offered (see details below).

As a huge Star Wars and LEGO fan, I was really excited about the #75419 Death Star set. What sets it apart from previous versions is that it’s not a complete sphere – it’s actually a cross-section, giving you access to all the iconic locations inside! You can recreate scenes in places like the Superlaser control room, the trash compactor (ugh!), the Imperial boardroom, and even Princess Leia’s cell and the Emperor’s throne room. They’ve even included a hangar bay with a Lambda-class shuttle, which is a fantastic detail. It really feels like you’re exploring the inside of the battle station!
The set includes a wide variety of characters to bring scenes to life, featuring heroes like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Leia Organa, alongside favorites like Chewbacca, C-3PO, and R2-D2. You’ll also find the iconic villains Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and Grand Moff Tarkin. Plus, there are new minifigures of characters from Rogue One, such as Galen Erso and Director Orson Krennic, and even a playful Hot Tub Stormtrooper inspired by the video games. Keep reading for a detailed look, complete with pictures.
