Get ready for more Mordecai and Rigby! The spin-off series, Regular Show: The Lost Tapes, is coming to Cartoon Network this May – marking the show’s return after several years. Although the original Regular Show had a definitive ending, this new series will explore previously untold adventures from the park employees’ past. A recently released clip has excited fans, proving the show still feels fresh and familiar. Regular Show will be back on Cartoon Network starting May 11th.
Fans will be excited to hear that Mordecai and Rigby are returning this summer, and so are the original voice actors! JG Quintel and William Salyers will once again voice the iconic duo starting this May, and they sound just as great as ever. They won’t be the only familiar faces either – Mark Hamill, Sam Marin, Minty Lewis, and Janie Haddad Tompkins are all reprising their roles as Skips, Benson, Eileen, and Margaret. You can get a sneak peek at Regular Show: The Lost Tapes in the clip below.
How Long Are The Lost Tapes?

Although the exact number of seasons isn’t known yet, reports indicate that Regular Show: The Lost Tapes will initially have at least forty-four episodes. According to Advanced Television, the show might get renewed for additional episodes depending on how well it performs when it premieres in May. Many animation fans are excited to see Mordecai and Rigby return, even after the original series ended years ago.
The upcoming side story won’t change the ending of Regular Show and will actually connect seamlessly to how the series originally concluded. The finale revealed that much of the show we watched was actually being viewed by Pops, a character who passed away in the last episode. These new adventures will likely be shown as part of the VHS tape Pops was watching.
JG Quintel, the creator of Regular Show, is developing a new animated series called SuperMutant Magic Academy for Adult Swim and Cartoon Network. While it’s expected to be a bit more dramatic than Regular Show, it will still feature the same quirky and unique characters fans love.
