Renowned One Piece Star Opens Up About Joining Jujutsu Kaisen Cast: “I Hadn’t Imagined Myself Appearing in It”

Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is currently a hugely popular anime worldwide. This season kicks off the “Culling Game” storyline, which many fans consider to be a high point of the series. It starts by showing what happened after the intense “Shibuya Incident,” focusing on Itadori’s efforts to prepare for the upcoming battle royale. The Culling Game, a deadly competition designed by Kenjaku that forces around a thousand sorcerers to fight, will be covered in two parts. The first part will have 13 episodes, but there’s no news yet about when the second part will air.

The group of sorcerers includes those who already had powers, as well as new ones and those who are vessels for ancient sorcerers – all empowered by Kenajku. Season 3 will introduce many new characters, including Kinji Hakari, a third-year student at Jujutsu Tech. He was briefly mentioned in season one as someone with the potential to become stronger than Satoru Gojo. Kazuya Nakai, a well-known voice actor from One Piece, will voice Hakari and has expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Jujutsu Kaisen cast.

One Piece Star Kazuya Nakai Reveals He Enjoyed Watching Jujutsu Kaisen

Kazuya Nakai is well-known as the voice actor for Roronoa Zoro, a hugely popular character from the anime One Piece. He’s been voicing Zoro for over 26 years, but he’s also famous for other roles like Toshiro Hijikata in Gintama and Akitaru Obi in Fire Force. Recently, after the introduction of a new character named Hakari, Nakai shared his opinions about him and the anime Jujutsu Kaisen in an interview with Mantan Web.

He said he really enjoyed watching it as a fan, particularly how visually striking the fight scenes were. He was especially impressed by the ‘Shibuya Incident,’ finding the magical battles reminiscent of anime. What really captivated him was seeing familiar locations being destroyed during the conflict, making it feel real and immersive.

Nakai shared that while she hadn’t expected to be cast, she was overjoyed when she got the part. She was thrilled to be joining such a well-loved show and finally bring her acting to the series.

Though it’s a relatively recent show, Jujutsu Kaisen has quickly become incredibly popular with a huge fanbase. Voice actor Nakai shares that he, like many viewers, enjoys the series for its compelling story, exciting action sequences, and stunning animation. He first learned he’d be joining the cast in December, but is now able to discuss his role as Hakari now that the character has officially appeared in the show.

Hakari Is One of The Most Beloved Characters in Jujutsu Kaisen

Hakari is a popular character with manga fans, even though he’s relatively new to the anime. He’s currently sidelined along with Kirara Hoshi due to a conflict with his superiors, which is why he didn’t know what happened in Shibuya. At first, he was reluctant to help Yuji, but he ultimately joined the Culling Game.

Hakari quickly proves to be a valuable ally to Yuji and his friends, assisting them in avoiding their enemies and searching for a way to release Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm. With the first half of Season 3 nearing its end, Hakari will have ample opportunity to demonstrate his abilities. Though he hasn’t been involved in many large-scale battles so far, the Culling Game will showcase the full extent of his frightening power when he faces a formidable, ancient sorcerer.
