Michael Madsen‘s doctor is shedding light on the actor’s cause of death.
Quentin Tarantino’s long-term associate passed away due to a heart attack, with heart disease and alcoholism playing significant roles, according to the cardiologist who spoke to NBC4 Los Angeles. He was 67 years old.
On July 3, Madsen was discovered unconscious at his residence in Malibu, California. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department informed a news outlet that he was declared dead at the scene due to natural causes, and there was no indication of any suspicious activity.
Following his demise, his sister expressed that they were not grieving for a public persona, but instead for a person who was “blood relative” with a “strong and passionate spirit”.
In her statement to Variety on July 3rd, the actress described Candyman as both “thunder and velvet,” suggesting a blend of mischief and tenderness. She saw him as a poet hiding behind an outlaw’s mask, a complex individual who was a father, a son, and a brother, all with their unique contrasts, yet bound together by a powerful, enduring love.
In simpler terms, she expressed that she remembers the former Reservoir Dogs actor as a man who lived life boldly, intelligently, and passionately. She also mentioned that she’ll miss our shared jokes, spontaneous laughter, and his distinctive sound. She will miss the young version of him before he became a legend; she misses her dear brother.
Madsen’s death occurred six years following his arrest for driving under the influence during a car collision in March 2019. His vehicle struck a pole. The actor from Kill Bill was given a four-day jail sentence, along with probation, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
In September, a man named Madsen, who is a father of seven, filed for divorce from his wife DeAnna Madsen. He claimed that their 26-year-old son Hudson took his own life due to his wife’s alleged neglect, drinking problems, and alcoholism. However, he later withdrew these allegations, stating on Instagram in October that he was not the author of this story and does not wish any harm or embarrassment to his wife.
Madsen expressed his sincere regret for not addressing this sooner, but he emphasized his deep love for his wife and their five children. He made it clear that there was no intention of divorce or placing blame. It’s important to clarify that Jeannine Bisignano and Dana Mechling, the mothers of two and one of his children respectively, were not involved in the incident concerning their son.
