The popularity of Resident Evil 2 Remake has led to an arcade version being developed by Bandai Namco Experience. It will be available in Japan and Europe later this year.
As a long-time Resident Evil fan, I was really impressed with this remake! They totally nailed bringing Leon and Claire to life with modern graphics, especially considering it’s a retelling of what many consider the most stressful first day on the job ever in a game. If you enjoyed Resident Evil: Requiem and want to see where Leon’s story began, you absolutely should play this. It’s a fantastic experience and a real treat for anyone who loves the series.
The arcade game will feature immersive effects like vibrating guns, a shaking floor, and even mist sprayed into the room at key moments. Players who have played the game before will encounter updated cutscenes and new enemy types. If you’re new to the game, we suggest playing with a friend!
We’re starting with a small test release in a few areas before making it available everywhere, so stay tuned for updates! We’ll also let you know when it’s officially launched. For now, check out the trailer below. If you can’t wait, the first game is already available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
