Despite the excitement surrounding Resident Evil Requiem, it’s important not to overlook the whispers about Capcom’s future remakes – specifically Resident Evil – Code: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero. According to leaker Aesthetic Gamer, also known as Dusk Golem, these games are said to be released in either 2027 or 2028, according to a recent tweet.
In simpler terms, when informed that their predictions for the release order of the Resident Evil series are often inaccurate, Aesthetic Gamer confidently stated, “But this one will be correct.
It’s important to mention that earlier reports suggested that Resident Evil Requiem featured open-world and multiplayer elements before its development was rebooted in 2021. Capcom has confirmed this, but we’ll have to stay tuned to find out if these features will indeed be part of the remakes (and whether they might appear on the rumored Nintendo Switch 2).
Discussing the game titled “Requiem”, it will unveil a unique, fresh appearance during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19th. This psychological horror game, with main character Grace Ashcroft and both first-person and third-person viewpoints, offers hands-on play for Gamescom attendees from August 20th to 24th. Keep an eye out for further updates as its release is set for February 27th, 2026, on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms.
The upcoming reboots of Resident Evil are Code Veronica and Zero. While the exact release dates aren’t clear, they are expected to drop sometime between 2027 and 2028. As for which one comes out first, I’m not certain about that either, but it seems we can anticipate both in the near future.
