As a die-hard Resident Evil fan who might’ve felt a bit let down by the latest trailer for Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem, here’s some great news! Fresh gameplay footage has surfaced from the Gamescom demo, offering us a deeper look into the present-day struggle of Grace, rather than focusing on her and Alyssa’s escape from Hotel Wrenwood. Take a peek below, thanks to GameSpot.
Following her hospital bed’s escape, Grace ventures into her surroundings, coming across a lighter and an empty ink ribbon container. Simultaneously, she encounters a lifeless body, which is swiftly seized and devoured by the emergent stalker-like adversary. For the first time, we gain a full view of this menacing figure, from its extended limbs to its colossal eyes.
In the chase as Grace runs from the monster, transitioning from first-person to third-person narrative, the monster follows her into a bright room and then reacts with discomfort. Slipping past corridors while making as little noise as possible is crucial to avoid the monster. Nevertheless, you can scatter objects around to draw it away.
In spite of locating all the required fuses to move forward, the monster reappears once more, causing Grace to panic and trip as she flees in fright. The much-anticipated release of “Resident Evil Requiem” is set for February 27th, 2026, on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. Keep an eye out for further updates over the next few months to learn more about the game’s features, including whether Leon will be playable or not.
