Capcom has confirmed that new downloadable content (DLC) is planned for Resident Evil Requiem. Rumors about extra content started circulating even before the game launched, which made sense since Capcom previously released DLC for Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village. While we know more content is coming for Requiem, the specific details haven’t been revealed yet.
Koshi Nakanishi, the director of Resident Evil Requiem, announced in a recent social media video that new downloadable content and updates are planned for the game. He described the DLC as a “story expansion” that will further explore the world of Requiem, but didn’t share details about which character it will focus on or when players can expect it to be released.
Capcom plans to keep improving Resident Evil Requiem with ongoing bug fixes and performance enhancements. Players will also be happy to hear that a highly requested Photo Mode is being added. And in May, a new mini-game will be released as a special surprise.
When Will This Requiem DLC Likely Release?

Capcom hasn’t announced when the Resident Evil Requiem DLC will be released, but we can estimate a timeframe. Reports suggest a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake is planned for release in the first half of 2027. If this is accurate, the Requiem DLC will probably come out before the remake – likely in late 2026 or early 2027.
The story expansion for Resident Evil Village came out more than a year after the original game, so it might be a while before we get any new information about it. But as soon as we learn more, we’ll share the details here on ComicBook.
