Following the rumored appearance of Leon S. Kennedy in the upcoming *Resident Evil Requiem*, more information about his potential gameplay has surfaced. YouTuber Residence of Evil recently discussed the game with leaker Dusk Golem, who revealed that Leon’s story is primarily set in the year 2020.
As you may recall, Grace Ashcroft’s story takes place in 2028, eight years after her mother, Alyssa, passed away-though not everything about Alyssa’s story has been revealed yet. It seems these events are two pieces of a larger, connected narrative, rather than individual, unrelated storylines.
Leon’s sections of the game are said to be larger than Grace’s, as he gets around levels using a vehicle. While his gameplay is more action-packed, the horror elements are realistic and less over-the-top. Plus, rumors about him wearing an eye-patch are untrue, according to both Dusk Golem and Residence of Evil.
The new game, *Resident Evil Requiem*, will be released on February 27, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Capcom has announced that they won’t be sharing any news about the game during their upcoming online presentation in September 2025, but it will be on display at the trade fair. Keep an eye out for more information soon.
