Moving forward in Resident Evil Requiem often requires solving puzzles to overcome obstacles. This usually involves locating key items hidden throughout the game and then using or combining them to unlock doors or open new routes.
Okay, so I put together a complete list of every key item you’ll need to actually finish Resident Evil Requiem. I also included maps to help you find your way around – seriously, this game can be confusing, so I figured they’d be useful!
Wrenwood
Old Key
Go to the Lounge at The Wrenwood Hotel. Shine a flashlight on the pillar at the back of the room, and look closely at the photo that’s taped to it.
The Wrenwood Hotel Floor Plan
Check the wall to the right of the desk for this framed map of the hotel.
Wire Cutters
Head upstairs at The Wrenwood Hotel and look for an old pool table near the top of the stairs. You’ll find the Wire Cutters in a box on it.
Emergency Exit Key
Acquired by default through progression.
Rhodes Hill – Care Center
Cherub Key
The key to unlock Room 201 is hidden in the drawer of the side table beside the armchair at the end of the hall, close to the covered window.
Lighter
Once you’ve unlocked Room 201, look on the shelves next to the green fusebox in the back.
Screwdriver
Head to the Nurses’ Station and find the rolling medical cart. Don’t push it yet! Grace’s first Antique Coin is sitting on top of the locker right beside the cart, and this is your only chance to reach it by climbing onto the cart.
Then, find the red toolbox on the high shelves across from the lockers. It’s lit by a faint light from the control panel. Use the same cart you were using before to move and climb up to reach the toolbox and grab the screwdriver inside.
Fuse
Return to Room 201 and use the Screwdriver to open the green fusebox. Inside, you’ll find a Fuse. Take the Fuse and go back to the place where you found the Cherub Key. Use the Fuse to open the locked shutter there.
West Wing Keycard
Acquired by default through progression.
Accesses the West Wing door via the Central Hall.
West Wing Map
After heading up the stairs past the Filing Room, examine the map on the wall.
Red Jewel
Look for and open the Unicorn Trinket Box on the table near the door of the Chairman’s Office. It’s lit by a lamp.
On Insanity difficulty, this location shifts to the rear room.
Pencil
Go to the back room of the Chairman’s Office and get the pencil. Then, go to the main part of the Chairman’s Office and use the pencil to shade in the indentations on the open notebook on the coffee table. This will reveal the combination to the Puzzle Box.
Moon Quartz
Obtained by solving the puzzle box in the Chairman’s Office, and then used to open the Quartz Door in the Central Hall.
East Wing Keycard
Go back down to the first floor and use the Red Jewel you found earlier to open the slightly recessed door to the Parlor.
Examine the torn arm on the ground by the low table.
Pantry Key
Take down the cleaver-wielding enemy roaming out of the Kitchen to acquire this key.
Blood Specimen (Denatured)
Place it in the purple test tube holder on the desk, then put it into the Analyzer on the left.
Allows crafting of Handgun Ammo and Hemolytic Injector.
East Wing Map
From the Waiting Room, head down the short hallway and enter the room with the stairs.
When you reach the top of the stairs, look at the wall above the small table with the lamp.
ID Wristband (Level 1)
Okay, so once you’re back in the hallway, keep going past the map of the East Wing. Before you get to the Chunk miniboss fight, there’s a headless body – you need to grab the wristband off its wrist. Seriously, don’t forget it!
Blood Specimen (Converged)
Use the ID wristband you received earlier to open the Level 1 security door in the Waiting Room.
Please go to the Closet, pick up the green test tube holder, and bring it back to the Analyzer in the Blood Lab.
Allows crafting of 12.7x55mm Ammo and Med Injector.
Blood Specimen (Reversible)
There’s a white test tube holder on the medical cart near this table. Please take it to the Analyzer outside.
Allows crafting of Steroids and Stabilizer.
Wrench
In a green caddy beside the typewriter on the desk inside the Custodian’s Office.
Organ Transport Box
Go down the hall past the Custodian’s Office, then through the Garage. You’ll find it in the back of a truck that’s slightly open.
Artificial Heart
Use the wrench you found earlier to loosen the hexagonal bolt that keeps the Cold Storage door closed. Then, take the Artificial Heart from the rack inside.
Sun Quartz
This item was obtained after solving the puzzle box in the Lead Researcher’s Office and then used to open the Quartz Door in the Central Hall.
Artificial Lungs
Received after solving the Organ Transport Box puzzle.
ID Wristband (Level 2)
Return to the Examination Room and equip the Artificial Heart and Artificial Lungs onto the body without organs. Once it’s reanimated, defeat it again and take the wristband it drops.
ID Wristband (Level 3)
Go past the desk to find the Security Manager’s Office. Inside, you’ll find a Puzzle Box, but it can’t be used – you get it automatically as you play the game.
Rhodes Hill – Care Center Basement
Joint Plug #1
At the Power Distributor in the Holding Cells, near the lever that needs to be pulled.
Joint Plug #2

Square Socket Wrench
Bring a Joint Plug to the power distributor northeast of the Boiler Room. After going through the door, move past the crate and the fence – you’ll find the wrench inside a red toolbox.
Forklift Key
Head southwest. Use the Square Socket Wrench on the button, then connect the two Joint Plugs to open the door and pass through.
Map: Care Center Basement Floor Plan
On a table with a Pouch after using the Forklift Key to open the door.
Joint Plug #3
With one plug still connected, insert another into the forklift. Be careful not to disturb the body bags as you walk alongside the forklift, and then move the cart out of the way.
Go back to the start, and swing the lever switch.
Return to the new path at the cart, once again following along with the body bags.
Drain the room by rotating the wheel, cross the now empty pool, and retrieve Joint Plug #3.
Star Quartz
Acquired by default through progression.

Battery #1
On the wall in the top left corner of the Underground Parking Garage.
Valve Handwheel
Lying on some rubble at the bottom level of the Sewage Facility.
Battery #2
Now, use the handwheel you found earlier on the panel close by. Then, climb back up onto the temporary bridge to cross over and reach the battery located behind the door.
BSAA Container Keys
Once you’ve used the two batteries to get past the flooded garage, turn left. You automatically get these batteries as you play the game.
Rusty Crank
Head through the Cedarbrook Apartments, then return until you find a door with a Rusty Crank located in a panel beside it. You’ll automatically get this during the normal course of the game.
