In the recent Nintendo Direct broadcast, Capcom unveiled a fresh trailer for “Resident Evil: Requiem” and announced that it will be released on Nintendo Switch 2, along with other platforms, next year. The clip also gave tantalizing glimpses of new story elements to come. You can watch the video below.
Exploring hints about potential new adversaries, as well as suggesting a comeback for Umbrella Corp (or implying that protagonist Grace Ashcroft would stumble upon their emblem), there’s a wealth of intrigue to dissect. The cryptic figure with the damaged teeth and odd eye equipment towards the end adds another layer of mystery – could it be the person seated near the fireplace, or perhaps the one who performed surgery on Grace?
The game titled “Resident Evil Requiem” is set to be released on February 27, 2026, and will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. For additional information, you can view previews from Gamescom. Moreover, the survival horror game is scheduled to make an appearance at Tokyo Game Show between September 25th and 28th, so keep an eye out for further updates.
