After being featured at the recent State of Play event, pre-loading for Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem is expected to begin shortly. According to PlayStation Game Size, a source that tracks PlayStation Store data, the game will require approximately 72.88 GB of storage space on PS5.
Several people have pointed out that this installment could be the largest Resident Evil game yet, and that’s before we even know how big the Steam version will be. Currently, Resident Evil 4 Remake holds the record at 67 GB, with Resident Evil 2 Remake coming in second at 48 GB.
Players who purchased the Standard Edition of Requiem will likely be able to start downloading the game on February 25th, with the full release happening at midnight on February 27th. Official confirmation of these times is expected shortly.
The new game, Resident Evil Requiem, is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s currently the most wishlisted game on Steam with 2.5 million pre-wishlists, surpassing titles like Subnautica 2 and Forza Horizon 6.
