Resident Evil Requiem Reveals More Horror, Action Gameplay in Low-Key Showcase

Capcom recently released new gameplay footage and information for Resident Evil Requiem during the latest Resident Evil Showcase, highlighting how the game differs when played with either Leon or Grace. You can view the full showcase video above.

The livestream didn’t offer much in the way of major news or specifics, but it did showcase a few brand-new gameplay features coming in Requiem. Here they are:

  • Leon can pick up enemy weapons and use them against them
  • Grace can collect blood from enemies for crafting purposes
  • A classic difficulty option has Grace use ink ribbons to save the game
  • Leon has a hatchet melee weapon he needs to repair by sharpening it
  • Some zombies will mimic the jobs and habits they had when they were alive

The presentation highlighted the partnership with Porsche, which supplied the car Leon drives in the game. It also showed a collaboration with Hamilton watches, offering themed watches inspired by Leon and Grace. Finally, they previewed some of the extra content included with the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil Requiem.

The recent Resident Evil showcase was quite understated, focusing almost entirely on showcasing more gameplay from the upcoming game, Requiem. It’s scheduled to release on February 27, 2026, and Capcom doesn’t appear to be planning a demo, as none was announced during the presentation.
